I built the 1:12 scale version of th RB20 car in the early 1980's. I remember this car very well when I saw it at the race circuit in South Africa. Alain Prost is my favorite driver ever. For masking, I used thin strips cut from electrical insulation tape. We did not have the fancy stuff available today. Your model is beautiful, a credit to this hobby.

こんにちは、よく視聴させていただいています。 今回は、①リアウイングの艶消し黒の統一された質感 ②クリア層の中にデカールがしっかり閉じ込められている。 面の平滑感にみとれてしまいます 小傷は映りこみでチェック？ デカールの段差も殆ど見えない！ この2点特に痺れました。 彩度の高い色って、濁りや埃は大敵でしょう？ 素晴らしい！！ エルフ ルノー プロストってオールフランスも偉そうでいいですね 実際速いマシンでしたね。

This is why I love Tamiya kits. You always know what to expect...great build, Tama. By the way, I don't blame you about being excited seeing an R5 Turbo. We never had them in the United States, but I have a model of one and I would freak out if I ever saw one in person! 🙂

発売当時に作りましたよ。 ノーズは同じ手法で塗り分けしました、2枚あって助かりました。 40年も前の製作なのでクリアーも吹いてません。 ウイングやタイヤがもげた30Bがジャンク品箱の中に眠っています。 本当にいつも素晴らしい仕上がりですね。

Beautiful model. Tamiya quality is so good and accurate that I learned how F1 cars work in real life from the model kits. I built the 6 wheel Tyrell kit back in the 1970’s.
