Let's talk about how much we appreciate the ad free videos!
Quick tip for you. If you hold the clutch in and put the gas pedal to the floor, the car goes into “clear flood mode”. This cuts the fuel system so you can turn it over without starting. It’s a good thing to use if you’re priming the motor as well. If you have an auto car you can mash the brake pedal and gas at the same time and it will do the same thing. Works on all ford vehicles at least since 2005ish from my experience. 20:54
The Hoss 302 lives on. It's a bummer, but you know it's all part of it. Hopefully not a cracked block, and just a rear main seal. Still awesome. Thanks Ray
100% its the rear main seal, bad backfire will cause this. When you lost that intake cap when it blew off was the same time the rear main seal blew out. i will put money on it.
Always wanted to do this. With the insurance rates of a 6 cylinder car. That’s a BIG WIN LEE!
Just bought a new to me 2012 GT/CS off a good friend of mine two days ago for dirt cheap because the Coyote has a rod knock. Thanks to this video and the first one done on this car, I know roughly what to expect and what upgrades to do while the engine is out. Thanks, Lee!
Lee, love your channel and as a very long time supporter and as a 45 year collision shop owner/retired, I believe it’s time for you to invest in at least a used unibody frame bench and a measuring system which can be picked up used very reasonably. Yes, I can see just how talented you guys are with your forklift but your life and beloved projects. would be so much happier 😊
The videos this man makes are so fast paced I thought I was almost at the end of it, and it was going to be multi part. Nope, I’m only 15 minutes in.
This is the first of your long videos I've really watched. I enjoyed it a lot. Sorry to see you've got an oil leak that's going to require some disassembly. Unless there is a block issue, I agree with your preliminary assessment of it being the rear main seal. I hope to see a followup video on it.
Lee said he has to swap over the entire electrical system…..I immediately think oh god, I’m praying for his sanity to stay intact ( hopefully it goes a lot smoother than the demon )
U goy the cars figured out. you know pretty much how they work and the wiring. You know what's compatible and what's not between different models, and you have a spot to work on them, that's your advantage. You also got your crew and they're pretty important advantage. They are a very valuable resource so be sure to take care of the guys who show up every day to help you
How does this channel not have a million subs? So weird. Awesome content guys!
i have a 2012 gt/cs that i’m building, this series definitely made me fall in love with the channel!
Dude is a natural mechanic AND actor.
I really enjoy this series because my mom had a boss and apparently loved driving it fast. She unfortunately passed when i was a very young kiddo but she lives on in my heart. Apparently she rolled her's 4 times 😆 I think she enjoyed it. One day man, one day imma get a boss to honor her.
“These things really like to yell at you” 😂 can’t stress it enough
On a second watch I was thinking it is a good thing you changed over the dash/key/wiring… that way you keep the red key and the track tuning that ford made for the Boss 302. I have a 13 Boss and a friend just bought a used 12. His didn’t come with the red key and we have to do a bunch of things to get a new one. The red key is what makes the Boss a BOSS! Also… not sure if the Laguna Secas shocks and struts survived… but you should use those in the Hoss… the LS did have different suspension than the regular Boss. I regret I should have bought the LS suspension when I had a chance.
i work for the isp where your shop is and im pretty sure i saw this sweet boss 302 fly by me when i was working on kent island! so glad i found your channel keep up the great videos!!
The best line of your video that made me laugh out loud was “ Lower their property value by dragging this bucket in their shop” freaking classic
