@ijhh100

Rhino, AKA warframe's wrench. Can you get into a locked car with it? YES! Maybe a wrench is not the best tool, but it can get the job done. *breaks window

@Zvuli

The visual of Rhino smashing a hexagon block into a square hole is something I didn’t know I didn’t know I wanted.

@KhoenFhorn

This was the first time he went down in a builds video in a VERY long time... And the fact that it´s the Rhino video 😅

@Bampaloudu64

With the addition of Jade eximus units, I just found that it was now pointless to try building around Ironclad Charge or other specific setups. In order to get hundreds of thousands or even millions of Iron Skin, just wait for a beam to pop on your head, stop everything you're doing, take the damages and cast Iron Skin.
Thanks to that, I've actually decided to put a bunch of range and slot the augment for his 4th, allowing you to restore your Iron Skin while freezing the enemies in a radius of 60 meters. I've also replaced his 1st ability with Ophanim Eyes for an easy armor strip (by the way, the damages are buffed by Roar. So technically you can run with Ophanim Eyes in lower level missions and just kill the enemies by looking at them). It also slows the enemies on the way.

Now if I had to ask for some changes, I'd like him to have an actual passive, first. Also, his Iron Skin technically isn't overguard, which leads to misunderstandings from the players, especially the newers ones. It should either be coded to be overguard (so it doesn't get nullified), or it should have its own UI in the corner of the screen the same way as Nezha, Atlas, etc.

@swk3000

A lot of people are saying that the Umbral set is bad, but then turn around and recommend Health Conversion for more Overguard from Iron Skin, which seems to be missing the point of the first build. The point of the first build is to make Roar as powerful as possible. +77% Power Strength goes a long way doing that. Sure, you could drop down to Intensify, but then you'd have to make up the difference with Shards. On the other hand, if you use the Umbral set, you can combine that with the Shards for an even more powerful Roar.

Personally, I'd like to see these people who are saying that the Umbral set is bad put forth an actual Roar build, instead of changing it to an Iron Skin build like they all seem to be doing.

@dejavureal

imo if you want funny iron skin number nowadays, jade eximus beam is a great way to scale iron skin during the 3s absorb window, that doesnt require any mod investment. you usually want to stand in it to let it deplete your iron skin, then recast during the tail end of the beam's duration. most i've gotten from that is ~1.9m iron skin which is vastly more than enough for most content. just gotta watch out for nullifying effects. you could even run some range and Reinforcing Stomp to heal back part of the iron skin since it's percentage-based

Edit: just got to the part in the vid where he touches on this lol

As for coda weapons, Caustacyst is a given, you put me on that with the Gauss Prime build refresh last year, and it's been great, but i'm also hoping there's some nice stuff with the Hema and Hirudo, I always loved sparring weapons and the best one is getting a modern endgame variant

@Darthmufin

Blue shield shards work better than strength if your goal is more overguard through parasitic armor due to how it scales, just so you know. You can mix and match red and blue depending on how stong you want your roar to be in relation to your overguard amount.

@felix_patriot

Piercing Roar makes that 7s iron skin last 35 seconds since 5 puncture procs is an 80% enemy damage reduction.

Buffed Reinforcing Stomp (it's %-based now) lets you perpetually upkeep one very big iron skin e.g. if you stand in a jade light beam or shoot yourself with an acolyte magnetize bubble.

Just swap Narrow Minded for Stretch and your range on both of them is stellar. Panzers with Shocking Claws on their claws can even proc Archon stretch for you.

Drop both Umbral Fiber and Umbral Vitality for both augments since armor scaling doesn't scale on Rhino. Iron Skin's health uses the following expression: "Modified Health = (Base Health + (Armor Multiplier × Base Armor × (1 + Armor Mods))) × (1 + Ability Strength) + Absorbed Damage". As we can see, armor and strength both ultimately scale up the Base Health of Iron Skin. However, the Absorbed Damage from the first 3 seconds of Iron Skin is just a FINAL ADDITION TO THIS FORMULA and is not involved in any of the armor/strength multiplication. In laymans terms, this means that if you create 2 million iron skin from your whole Ironclad Charge ritual, and then you absorb 50 million from incoming damage, that's just a total of 52 million iron skin health. Basically the 50 million doesn't interact with your armor or strength at all. This means that Rhino has an innate ability to scale his survivability to match the enemy level, but by building around armor, you're foregoing your scaling potential in exchange for a mere initial "bump" of iron skin health.

Also, arcane avenger activates on overguard now and combat discipline still damages overguard normally so you can self-proc with that. Drop Transient for Primed Flow and slot avenger/combat discipline for an even more insane weapons platform.

@Worldeditorful

I find Health conversion a MUCH better variant than 2 extra Umbra slots (that makes dual umbra forma mandatory). It frees you a slot to fill anything you need, gives MUCH more armor and, because of iron skin - your health is never touched, so you just gain 3 stacks at the beginning of the mission and forget that stacking exists. This huge pile of extra armor gives you around 600 max energy with battery and around 21k Overguard from iron skin at base.

@richardjohnson8991

Rhino really just proving he's completely ageless. No matter where the meta goes he's always got a place in it. God what a well designed warframe

@colossaldonut5190

He may kind of be a little lacking in mechanics but the fact he's hard to kill and has got the best Roar in Warframe counts for something still and I think that's honestly a fine place to be in the game.

@Restributordevill

This build slaps, thank you. Just ran through ETA dealing out 50 million crits with my glaive, not dying even once and buffing my nautilus into the stratosphere

@jakeharrison207

It’s worth noting it’s not hard to get an okay amount of extra armor if you want more than 10k overguard. Armor shards and some arcanes make it easy if you want to cast his 2 a little less often. I use 3 tau armor shards with the umbral mods and I get 16k, which is a nice extra bit. A super efficient method is using Health Conversion, because Rhino keeps it up 99% of the time and it’s 1350 armor on 1 mod.

@Raskol-Solipsysta

We got plenty of weapons platforms tbh so i went for similar build in terms of focusing on roar but more team focused - range and efficiency. Not like loosing too much myself but also empowering entire squad which is at least refreshing

@Summergale413

I love that the "right" in the intro synced up with Rhino stomping his foot down.

@Arrlic

16:34 i honestly kinda wish warframe had grenades, like they could do borderlands type grenades not just generic explosions i think they'd be fun. probably crazy broken but fun

@NLABRAiNiAC

I believe the Synapse is getting a Coda variant, and I think that could be absolutely amazing. The damage on the Synapse is already good, its just single target. If they give it some AoE, either through beam chaining or making enemies explode or something, it could be real neat

@franktownsend3483

As a newer player this build is going to be my endgame goal I think. I love using generic rifles and weapons platform frames and rhino looks so cool.

@Lanaestra

The design of the Tysis is one of the things that caused me to fall in love with the art design of the weapons in warframe when I first started playing, I am so hoping the coda tysis will actually be usable.

(I did screencap the second or so we saw it's wip stats on the devstream, doible base damage and it seems like the corrosive has been changed/replaced for the darts embedding into the target and then exploding)

@Bubbadevlin

Rather than running umbral fiber + vitality you could just be running blue armor shards. Sure you have slightly less strength from umbral intensify but you get two essentially flex slots in the build, plus id imagine many people have a ton of blue shards sitting around.

The two free mod slots also just open up a ton of build options. Stretch + reinforcing stomp can be pretty nice for keeping a high absorbed skin, or lately I have been a big fan of boreal's hatred, it gives you a longer shield gate and some useful efficiency

One really fun helminth alternative to nourish is wrathful advance. This is because melee influence triple dips the roar buff, so melee influence + wrathful advance + true roar means basically any melee with a status chance becomes a nuke. Alternatively you could use shock + its augment for a similar role, especially since shock's elemental buff no longer combines with your weapon elementals
