This is the son mentioned in this video. My father turned 80 this year and for Father’s Day I wanted to gift him a true luxury car to drive while he still can. This will be the nicest car my parents ever owned being frugal old-world immigrants.

This channel is part of our nightly television programming as a family and I am truly honored that AMD offered to make a video so that my dad could watch it back in NY. He would have loved to visit the shop but IL is a bit far for him to make the trek.

We are truly touched by the lovely comments, they brought a beaming smile to his face as he read them.

We are truly grateful to AMD and The Car Care Nut community for making this so special for us. Thank you ❤

If the son is reading this: you're a great guy. Classy choice and I'm sure your father will love it. Thanks AMD for sharing this story.

@Vlad6525

This just hit me like a freight train... When my dad bought his ES330, I was dreaming about buying him an LS430 as his last car...10yrs later, I could have done it, but my dad passed unexpectedly 4yrs earlier... This video is very personal. I'm glad someone else could do what I couldn't.

The king of Toyota Lexus checking out your car. What an honour

@johnnyquid-xj4kk

I have a daughter, gonna let her know I love Lexus. She has at least 20 years to work on it. Nice son.

@srbh41413

I'm sure your father is looking down on his son with the greatest of pride and happiness.

@gorongo4202

Made me smile. I bought my 90 yo dad a 2005 LS430 after his favorite Volvo finally gave up. He loved it and loved driving it to play golf near Palm Springs. Got compliments all the time. Sadly, Covid took him a few years later and the LS passed along to my cousin who still enjoys it. So this car is a meaningful gift for a father and this episode brought a tear to my eye.

A son's love for his father ❤. My dad, now gone 45 years and miss him every day. +

@Iwillshowyoupeace

For all the son's here who are now rich enough to buy their fathers the car that they always wanted but cant because they're no longer with us,this video was painfully beautiful to watch.
My father once told me decades ago that he always wanted to buy Grandpa a wireless cellphone and visit a foreign country with him.That didnt happen because grandpa passed away in a sudden stroke.
I always wanted to buy my father a luxury car when i get rich enough,sadly that wont happen either since my dad passed away in 2020.We've 3 cars but i never got to buy him one.
Some Sons Will Never Get That Chance To Fulfill.❤

@saugusandsausages

Beautiful car! I’d say his son made the right choice.

@MJ-fj9yv

It is a Lexus, yes he bought a good one. Good job, son!

@wleungO1

Hats off to the son!!! I just bought a used '13 camry today to gift to my Dad (80 last year) & replace his aging '04 one and I'm already feeling out-staged after seeing this😆
BUT, I am still happy: cos we're all supporting our folks 👍. Thanks for sharing this story.

@micbad4689

The day has come (at least for me) when a youtuber has far better content than hollywood or any original content from the streaming platforms.

@sanchocloset5987

Ls430 is the definition of luxury.

@GodBlessErbody

I’ve owned a 05 ultra ls430. That is a great choice. Can’t think of anything better. Congratulations to your dad and kudos to you for holding him in such high esteem.

@HT-uu9nc

AMD, please never stop making LS430 videos. They never get old. You have actually helped me out so much on things to look for on my LS. I love my 2006 LS430. I’d love for you to drive it & inspect it to see if it truly drives like an original LS. It has OEM parts.

@gfutube1

He took it to the right guy

@Robsbrd99

Don't think the owner did badly at all. He sure picked the right person to bring it back.

@wrangler2155

The door lock actuators can be torn down and just the solenoid inside can be replaced for like 10$ , I just replaced my LF one on my 430. The cases are glued so you will have to split the case but everything went smoothly and theres videos on youtube.

@zzanatos2001

I bought my dad an Avalon a couple years ago. He loves it.
