I love the way you explained. It is nearly explained. Thank you for that. Have a question: does order service wait until inventory service updates inventory, payment service process the payment and Kafka consumer reads the confirmation message and updated the database? Is it completely synchronous process or asynchronous process. Does user wait until all this background operations are completed? Can you also explain choice of databases here cart service uses Dynamo and redis cache, inventory service uses Cassandra and order service uses postgres. I am preparing for system design interviews. If you can explain it will help me
