My father abused me all of my childhood. Thanks be to God, I have the absolute best husband and the best father to 3 beautiful daughters He restored me. He was sent from heaven to me. We’ve been happily married for 41 years I know it could’ve gone very different. I have had times of feeling all used up and disqualified but he kept me feeling very loved. Please please believe Father Mike. You are God’s child and you matter!! If you take away only this one thing from the whole year in a Bible, take away that. Also, I started saying the Rosary every day. What a tremendous gift. God bless every person ready the Bible with us. I pray for you constantly.

Day 131 2025!! ✝️✝️ “Father, in heaven, we give you praise, and we thank you, because we do find ourselves in battles. We find ourselves called upon to act, called upon to speak, called upon to refrain from acting, and called upon to be silent. All these different times, Lord, it's so confusing sometimes, how we should act and how we should not act.” Amen! I am praying for our amazing community!!✝️✝️🙏🏻🙏🏻📖📖💜💜

Fr,Such a wonderful explanation on the Tamar story,of how wounded and broken people are restored and healed by God.This happens in real life experiences in today's world world.

@pathummel4876

So hard to hear this story of Tamar and her shame from Amnon. God loves Tamar and all of us who has been hurt.

We in the UK have had a week celebrating VE day (victory in Europe) what was very prevalent when listening to those who lived through it was how they rejoiced when the lights came back on. Thinking about this, it was a dark time for the world, and here in this story, and lots of portions of the bible, we see dark times.

In the 2nd world war houses were required to have black out curtains, there were men who had the job of making sure that people complied with this rule. The light could give the enemy an advantage. My city was badly bombed because we made tanks, and had very skilled engineering works.

2000, years ago the light of Christ arrived, this light gives us the upper hand against the enemy, many of us can recall when we accepted Jesus as our Saviour, for me I have always had that flicker of faith, but I think since Covid it has burned brighter.
We all have dark days and seasons, Rev 22 v 5 tells us there will be no more night when Jesus reigns again. I wonder if we get to sleep then? maybe not !🌞☀☀☀☀☀☀☀

My daughter was abused by her half brother. They have same dad, different mothers.
She has sexual issues. Thinks she's non binary. I still love her and pray for her. Pray she comes back to the church and heals.

@CarmelCollins-ro6rm

Hard to listen to this tonight. As you say Father Mike. God please heal the broken. Last few nights of Bible in a year have been difficult to do. Because i am in a lot of fear and anxiety. My son is very overweight and suffers mental health. Some days are just tough. Feel exhausted. God is good 🙏 Hod bless All

Day 131 - Today is Friday May 10th, 2024
Doing this podcast for the third time ❤❤❤.

@catcherad5444

Wow! This to me is the most powerful of the days and of the chapters so far because there is so many million people due to rape and a broken family where the father is not present. I like the way you explained it and you included people who have been hurt by something similar in their lives?
All the more it shows us how important Jesus Christ is in our lives because he came not only as a son of God but as the great healer of so many wrongs!

Powerful! Very powerful! Thanks Father Mike!

@jldisme

Lord Jesus, I humbly pray for myself, Father Mike, & all the people participating in the Bible-in-Year podcast. May your word take deep root in our hearts & transform our ways of thinking, deciding, and acting. May your grace open our ears to hear & understand God's voice in the Scriptures that we may revere & treasure both the Old & the New Testaments which God has prepared for all who desire to enter his kingdom. Send us your Holy Spirit to give us the Spirit of Knowledge, that we may know God and know ourselves. Give us the grace to approach the Word of God with meekness & humility, & with an eagerness to do everything God desires. Help us to be diligent students & faithful disciples of your Word. May our hearts never grow dull & may our ears never tire of listening to your voice. Amen.

I am so fortunate following Fr. Mike's BIAY! How GOD sees a repentant heart and how he still loves us!
