45:40 Skizz revealing he wrote poetry and Gem just gushing over it. So sweet and the story is sweet
Skizz, as chat was spamming that you didn't see, using waterlogged stairs, replacing the wood blocks, would look better. Rather than placing the water source on top of a wood block.
I've never had paint smell like chocolate, BUT: When I was a kid, my mom got this weird diet cookbook where every recipe had a ton of substitute ingredients. One was a "chocolate cream pie" whose primary ingredient in the filling was pureed avocado. It smelled almost as bad as it tasted. Fast forward several years to when I was in college, and I'm on the stage crew for one of the college's theater shows. At the end of strike, the last step was to repaint the stage floor black because it had a design painted on it as part of the set. They opened the bucket of black paint, and it smelled EXACTLY like that nasty avocado pie.
Once you get the next layer in above, the foxes will be more likely to stay on the taller areas. The way mob wandering works is it will pick a random solid full block within an 8 block cube and then move as close to it as they can. Currently they're seeing: -A floor of which up to 64 (8x8 square) valid blocks intersect their scan. -Pyramid walls made of solid blocks that they can also see up to 64 of and move towards -Ceiling blocks of layer 2 under the floor below, another 8x8 VERSUS -Two or Three random 3x3 platforms in the air Just doing the math, that's an average of about 20 blocks you want them to pick and maybe 128-160 that will lead them to the floor. Once you have a ceiling though, you'll start seing them pick blocks above them too, bringing the chances more into balance.
mix stairs in with the blocks as you build up the path. The foxes will run about the blocks while you walk the stair/ slab path. decorate that with the waterfalls and booshes. This whole thing is just genius.

the gaggle of gamers in their under-gutchies gave me the giggles.
What are the odds of running into a trial chamber before finding the end room? That part with Skizz being lost was funny :) Also, Gem is a good teacher of TCG!
Acacia: spicy birch. Sbirch. A little faster than achach.
I was typing to yell "streak Hermitcraft!" And you did it with culinary style. Tango would approve.😂
I've been meaning to do my laundry before I run out of socks, and I ran out of socks yesterday 😂 and hear I am sitting on my butt watching YouTube 🤣
18:31 #GoodTimesWithSkizz 😂
I love learning about Skizz, as he is my fave Hermit!!! More Skizz lore drops please!!!
Todays intro music sounded like eddie murphy is sneaking around la looking for european art smugglers.😊
The tax thing really does drive me nuts for the same reason. Like you, i know it's not that simple, but if you're going to tell me I have to do the work and pay you to check my work, and pay more if I'm wrong, and make the rules and formula so complicated I technically need a 4 month course every year just to know and understand all of those things? Maybe you need to rethink how you're doing things. And meanwhile the gap between the upper class and everyone else gets bigger... Sorry, rant over... Thank you for being a positive, humorous distraction in such troubling times.
7:55 yeah, that's (one of) the stupid things with taxes in the US. Here in NZ (and other countries too), we have "PAYE" tax which basically means the govt already knows what you owe by the end of the year (if you're an ordinary salary worker at least, and not, y'know, a full-time self-employed youtuber haha). You still have to pay taxes in advance but it hardly matters if you get it 100% right because any difference gets refunded or charged to you next year.
im so giddy poet skizz is not something i thought i would learn about today
2:58:36 Skizz, would using a waterlogged stair look more appealing
Skizz, can we name one of the foxes after a movie that came out the year I was born? "Foxy Brown" 1974
