My bump wore right through to the metal nut that’s inside. It still worked for quite a while but as it got dirty the plastic bump couldn’t move freely on the nut anymore. I bought a new bump knob and rode it out for another season. I have since upgraded from that original fs 38 to some better straight shaft and combi models.

Fs 94 c-e. Professional graded, easy to start, lightweight, just buy a good harness. You just have to learn how to feed the head with string.

🙏Which model of Stihl trimmer do you recommend for women? My lot is 0.25 acre plus the back side of my fence that faces the hills. I purchased a gas powered Stihl last year and had problems with the head and wound up selling it to the guy I had to hire to trim my weeds. I would like to be able to do the trimming myself. I had to spend $800 to get it done this year. Not sure if I would be better using a blade rather than string too. Thank you!
