I always love the critical role episodes where the cast gets asked about their lives. I totally get that the Between the Sheets episodes had to be removed, but I´m very happy that there will be more of that style of content in a different light with Weird Kids.

Taliesin is at it again. can't imagine what it is like to be a child-actor at all, but some of their quotes just resonate deeply. Its great to see them both talking so openly about it and getting to know their stories. Its almost like bonding over trauma from a distance with people you highly respect and like. They are so lovely and interesting.

could it be? the two CR members who have told their stories in ways that resonated the most with me out of all of them? the two whose characters and personal styles have been incredibly formative for me and helped me get out of a bad state in my life and process shit? the voices I imagine telling me to be kind to myself? their own show where they talk more??? I know exactly what Ashley means about looking very cute when you're little (happy, friendly, smiley, squeaky voice) and everyone wanting you to stay that way. Grandpa called me barbie. Luckily my mom had gone through the same thing with her mom, specifically being forced to stay looking like Sherly Temple, so she refused to control my hair/fashion. But everyone else in the family lamented that I was losing my blonde hair and turning into a tomboy. 'Tomboy' carried the subtext meaning: it better be a phase she grows out of before puberty or she's 'one of those kind'.
