X-raps, square billed raps, anything with a rattle in in the form of a minnow works well.
nice well done good video fishing is good in that lake EH
pdirett- I'm trolling most of the time in those vids, don't worry about spooking fish in a kayak....it really wont happen. I have found a lot of success jigging for those same fish recently....stay tuned for my next video, it's in the works right now and I've got a lot of footage to edit. Keep trolling and you will get them. Just watch your lure depth and weeds on the line and you'll be fine. Keep your bait back at least 75 feet or more and you won't have a problem with spooked fish.
LOVE IT!!!!!
yeah, It can be a bit of a workout.
loev the video. try to shoot more of the fish you catch though
How are you fishing for the trout in your other videos (Port Sanilac, Harbor Beach)? It seems like you are trolling. I've never given that a fair shot in my kayak, and quickly go to casting instead. I figured I was spooking them. I fish the troughs around Singing Bridge, so maybe the water isn't as deep. If that's what you're doing though, I'll give it another try after seeing you smack all those lakers.
Nice, where do you launch from? I'm in need of a spot.
about how deep is the water at metro where you were fishing?
