coming up to the first jumpscare, laying in bed with a hot mug of miso, wondering when the jump will be. went to put down the mug incase i dropped it all over myself and the cat cuddled with me, looked away to do so, jumpscare happens, no reaction but laughing at insym screaming lol

I think overall the game started really strong until you get to the middle part and you have access to all the areas, which the game then devolves to <fetch items from the whole map multiple times> and having an inefficient way to keep track of items is a hassle. Thanks for the vid

Nah, the ending wasn't bad at all. Y'all were just exhausted and drained at that point, which you could tell, and thus kept on getting lost on some (otherwise rather simple) stuff. It might just be better to split games like that up in the future, for your guys' mental sake.
