When upgrading towers, you can specify that improvements do additional damage to certain types of targets.. The same process works for armor and toughness. You can also designate targeting priority for three types of targets. So if I want the bubble people to go away faster, I up the priority of taking out barrier units in a tower's targeting protocol.
