Also, the returning characters for 3 years are having their downfalls: Jung-Bae / Player 390 lost his business which was a restaurant if I remember and then got divorced and his kids are being taken by his ex-wife, just like Gi-Hun The loan shark looks like lost his previous job as Gi-Hun paid him to find the recruiter and he looks completely serious unlike in season one when he was sadistic The broker still has his job but he looks jaded and lazy even when people like Gi-Hun and No-Eul (Guard 011) gave him money, he refused to do it and complain a lot.
