What I want to hear out of these efforts is a call for new screening procedures for police officer recruitment. We need cops who understand they work for the people, they're not our overlords. When they approach any citizen under pretense of investigation, their demeanor must be deferential and respectful, not demanding and self-entitled. I support the concept of law enforcement but I can't support the police as they are currently constituted. I'm frankly sick of them.
