@HatsuneMiku初音ミク

I love how even tho Miku wasn't saying anything her fans still cheered 3:07

@konstantink07

even with all the errors, I'm kinda jealous of the people who got to experience a Vocaloid concert with actual holograms. Didn't go to last year's expo due to the lack of holograms (would've been my first Miku concert) but will probably go to the next one either way, just for the experience of hearing all those Vocaloid songs with live instruments in a crowd of people who love Vocaloid. I recently watched the Project Sekai movie in theater and that after-show really made me want to see a full concert.

@igorgiuseppe1862

the fact that mistakes happen make it more realistic and convincing that its a real show... because it is after all, miku may be a playback, but everyone else is performing live, and the tech support team have to act in case something goes wrong.

@juxtaposedlime2734

There's another one I want to add.

It's not necessarily an immersion breaking experience, but it is a band error that was shown on broadcast.

During the intro of Law Evading Rock on the Rin and Len 14th Birthday Concert, the keyboardist, Nao Nishimura, starts jumping wildly. However, she jumps too hard and it somehow yanked the cord of her in ear monitors from the unit attached to the back of her dress.

In ear monitors are CRITICAL for live musicians as it serves as their guide for their playing and timing. If her issue wasn't solved, she would be playing off-beat.

You can see her signalling to the stage crew behind her, alerting them of her situation and right before the first verse the cameras switch to an angle behind her showing her holding the cord and the crew scrambling to reconnect it.

@turtlelongingforchaos9055

1:05 tbh i think it would be cute to interpret this not as a mistake in the choreo but just Luka almost coming in too early and catching herself right before she does

@jadenaquino6246

And may I add some more incidents:

Mikupa 2011 Singapore:
- stage design doesn't translate the glass wall well since all of them are directly behind the wall, resulting in a lot of the lights also projecting onto the wall and us being able to see nothing but brightness, it doesn't help that the lights they used are very bright, almost too bright for the venue.
- when Miku was doing the band member introduction in aria, most likely because of Miku's poor English at the time, the audience didn't know it was time for Miku's name call so they just ended up screaming instead of shouting her name.
- majority of the confetti just hanged on the ceiling when it was released in Miku Miku ni shite ageru.

Mikufes09:
Miku's voice kept cutting out when she was performing Miku Miku ni shite ageru
(You can only find this in the streamed version so watch out for your ears)
- miku clips out of the smaller glass walls

Magical mirai 2015:
When unhappy refrain was playing, Ito Kensuke messed up his timing during the intro
(Again you can only find this in the streamed version as the streamed version recorded a different day than the bluray)

Miku expo 2024 (phoenix):
- the famous dead pixel

These are more of sound difficulties in the streams:
- Nishimura's piano kept cutting out in the intros of first note, interviewer and tell your world in magical mirai 2021.

- Masaru's guitar didn't have any volume adjustment throughout the whole concert so we only hear his playing from the echos of the audience mic, kentaro's guitar in the other hand was very loud. It seems that they had trouble with the vocal's volumes, Luka's voice is barely heard in no logic in magical mirai 2018

- Camacho's snare mic was cut off during satisfaction during B.I.G festival 2017
(You can even see a staff member fixing his wire, indicating that it disconnected)

- There was a lot of moments were Camacho's bass drum mic wasn't picking up as much sound as in should be in magical mirai 2022/10th (compare next nest to vampire and you'll see what i mean)

@AvaM-n2t

I imagine that remote control one being like "Suwaru! Suwaru! OH SHI-"

On another note I really like this channel! My special interest is specifically Miku concerts and I didn't know other people cared about their history and the way songs are adapted\what they do with them as much as I do! It feels like the only time we get to see Miku and friends have feelings and personalities since prodiva is kinda discontinued (pjsk doesn't focus on them enough to me) as well as them being a tribute to vocaloid culture in general I feel. It's nice to see someone bringing attention to them (especially the newer ones, people hate on them but I think last year's magical mirai was one of the best concerts yet) I loved this video!

@ThatHawksSimp

5:15 it’s honestly a shame that they didn’t just start from the beginning of Remote Control again, that audience was robbed of a successful Rin and Len performance 💔

@igorgiuseppe1862

0:44 oh no, luka was caught using playback! xD

@Andoroid

There was actually one more that wasn't officially released apart from a hint on the Live Making of Hatsune Miku Final 39's Giving Day!
They filmed two concerts that day - both included two performances of World Is Mine each. On the first show, the first performance of World Is Mine that day (the third song), according to witnesses, there was a loud humming followed by the backing tracks (miku's voice, backing synths and whatnot) cutting out completely, leading to the band just playing out the rest of the song to the best of their abilities.
Another one - the 2015 Unhappy Refrain intro was indeed messed up, but not once - twice, in two of the three performances. The first stream released of the concert was for NHK and was only half of one and half of the other. The second recording was one of the entire unedited recordings, and in that, a completely different recording of Unhappy Refrain was shown with a similar but not identical mistake. I share it as more of an interesting thing rather than anything "bad" against the drummer - the drummer's awesome!
One more - in Miku Expo 2014, during one of the concerts, Len's vocal track to Fire Flower starts out of nowhere before a different song was supposed to play, which was hilarious

As someone who has watched every crypton concert (probably literally dozens of times) from 2010 onward, the length of this research is really impressive! I appreciate the 2016 NYC reference. I was there for that mistake, the balcony above the one the footage is from! It was so wild to see that happen live. (Another note - the mistake at 6:53 was most Definitely Not intentional)

To give some added context of what the likely culprit of the issue at times - the audio is generally played back on a separate computer and software all together from the animation (the software being protools), and they're timecoded. If one goes out then the other may run independently of it. Since some of the worse mistakes, though, they have implement a redundancy system that allows them to quickly switch to a backup of the same exact show, relatively seamlessly.

@spiele_maus

Normally at Magical Mirai they ALWAYS have back-up projectors in case of malfunctions (in 2013 you could see them very visible) As they where placed above (or below, don’t quite remember) the main ones. At other concerts they do not have these pre-cautions, but at Magic Mirai they do, so it seems very ironic how the only time projectors completely fails, was at a concert where they literally had a back up running to prevent such kind of failures lol

Also heck, I am a big Miku fan, why did I only discover some of these mistakes now!? Great video!

@NynnaOnYT9

1:43 help that actually got me dying a bit

@levia2805

2:20 the audio and video is probably synced with timecode but audio was misplaced in the DAW theyre using for audio playback

@yumeneed

This was so interesting!!! Especially with Rin singing with mikus vocals, how did the staff not notice?? 😭

@GweenOfTea

I was holding my breath for the ungray days mistake, that error lives rent free in my head lmao

@da1l616

There was a projector alignment issue during SnowMiku live 2018. It lead to ghosting around the model because the 2 projectors were slightly off position.
They fixed it live after a few minutes.

@mskittygemma

About Miku Expo 2021 and Rin's Song:
They did fix it in the Rewind concert and said that they will use the correct version for the kickstart backers who paid enough to get the HD video.

@MaxWolf3900

Wow! There are actually way more mistakes than i thought! Amazing video again! Editing is so good, you deserve way more views and subs!

@JeiJei_theAutivert

9:17-9:24 Wow, those body movement animations look so amazing... 😮

@N0stalg1aBl4stzOFFICIAL

move mic to mouth "_" truly inspiring!
