As much as I love Ivara Prime's design, she's really just my Spy and Wildlife Capture frame.
I highly recommend dotthanda's video called "Warframe | Using Concentrated Arrow to do horrible things to people" for anyone looking for a build specifically with the Artemis bow. Loosing a controllable tesla on the halls of Tav is infinitely funnier though, so I might try this some day.
Ivara with augment is my go to for spy missions, that's about it.
I love Ivara, she's honestly one of my favorite warframes. However, what I'd love more is for her to get a touch up sometime soon.
I think the most important word you said was "chill". That's why I like to use Ivara when I pick her. She's not fast or flashy, but she's comfortable, undemanding, and yet quite capable.
Honestly with Cyte-09's invis being so good, there's like no reason for Ivara's to be so restrictive now lol. I don't think it would be too ridiculous that instead of requiring you to use a silencer mod, prowl made all your weapons silent.
As a side note, its super worth noting that if you want to eke out a little more damage, Prowl's headshot boost (and Infiltrate's movement speed) does NOT benefit from Crepuscular if you enter invisibility with Prowl - you'll need to lay down a stealth arrow THEN enter Prowl.
FYI, artemis bow is bugged. You can still use a stat stick with it for one purpose. You have to equip a non-bow primary, and attack speed mods will apply to the artemis bow. The primary specifically has to NOT be a bow. You can do some neat stuff with concentrated arrow, but by all means ivara still kinda sucks. Concentrated arrow should work on non-headshots.
What I really appreciate about this build is how the whole loadout comes together to make an interesting playstyle
Hello, Ivara main here. Just some pointers for you and the viewers, fire rate is useless on the Artemis Bow, you actually want to prioritize multishot and reload speed. Artemis Bow does not gain any bonus damage from charging the bow,, it just adjusts the angle of the shots. This much is obvious, but it is actually better to quick fire the bow rather than charge it for that horizontal shot. Why? Well, that's because each arrow gets a separate status chance and punch through, allowing you to hit the entire body of a single enemy and possible more if you subsume a grouping ability or use the noise arrow. If you were to just go for the horizontal shot, a lot of the arrows would be wasted, but by allowing the spread to be vertical, you are actually getting more damage and status in for your energy cost. Another thing I would like to bring up is your preference for rolling speed. Ivara is not the fastest stealth frame, not even close. I don't see a need for making her into a speedy stealth frame by trying to buff her roll to make up for the lack of speed on prowl. Especially on public, even non stealth frames would be faster. Ivara is meant for the laid back players who don't really play on public, or just don't care about speed in the first place [You mention this towards the end of the video]. You would be much better off using duration or strength shards instead of parkour velocity ones, imo. And yes, you can totally use the Artemis Bow like a close range shotgun, that is actually one of my main playstyles with her. She can get an insane headshot bonus when you start stacking the different sources up, and shooting all of those at head level close-up lets you delete an entire group of enemies. Is it as good as other meta weapons? No, but it is fun. Even in your damage showcase, you were one-shotting level 220 enemies. That is perfectly fine and is well above the standard, I wouldn't call it "not great" just because it doesn't do 20 million red crits. As for Navigator, idk if you have ever used it with a controller, but it is nearly unusable with one [skill issue]. I feel like the reason I hardly ever see navigator might be this reason. Even when using it how it is meant to be used, it's very gimmicky and uses a lot of precious energy. Your build in this video is pretty damn good, though I would replace Power Drift is Preparation and then replace the energy shard with a strength or duration shard [for that build in particular it would be a strength shard]. The only efficient way is to use a strong AOE weapon, like the Arca Plasmor, or like you use the Grimoire. The only issue with this playstyle is that it is very campy and relies on bottle-necking. Most people in public are moving all over the place. Rather, her navigator is the perfect subsume slot [as you mentioned it gets replaced a lot], and I highly recommend using either a grouping ability [larva, ensnare, etc.], or my fav, Silence. Using Silence on Ivara is amazing because it negates most AOE attacks from enemies, which if you know what playing Ivara like on public is like, she is extremely squishy. Not only does it turn off AOE, it also pauses the enemies for a short duration, meaning that you can take the perfect Artemis Bow shot right in the head. For your Artemis Bow suggestion, only thing I would say is to make navigator auto-track or ping to headshots with projectile weapons. Last mention. For the Acolytes, Silence and Sleep Arrow turn off the AI and you can kill them in around 3 shots.
Big tips for anyone looking to run concentrated arrow: Her 4 snapshots the 2x range and strength boost from relic buffs. This can easily reach room wide clear to keep up with your team! Alt firing her 1 with Artemis bow seems to drop longbow sharpshot so do it the ol’ fashion way of using the button. Sleep Arrow works on acolytes! So tapping one quick right after they spawn can save your team from getting silenced.
Ivara is my most used frame, I'm working my way through steel path solo missions with the dread, working well so far
Hot take here, but im fine with ivara not being a steel path nuke frame. She does what she does, Her kit is fundamentally the opposite of what people want for her, and we dont need every frame to be able to kill everything. Having a warframe thats good with spy and wildlife capturing is fine
Some things to note: Arcane consequence is pretty good if you dont have both of the arcanes or the shards When using crepuscular its a good idea to use her cloak arrow (when not using a different way to get invis) for the 30% strength boost to her prowl's headshot multiplier and movement speed if using infiltrate Try to avoid using melee, it isnt stated but melee drains a bunch of energy This bit is a tad minmax esque but with crepuscular and her dashwire augment you really dont need to mod for crit damage on your guns as much. Honestly ivara is probably my favorite frame, love using her to hunt liches and anytime i am playing solo she is a top pick for me.
Here i am praying we get another secret build at the end
Nice! I've been using this for a while, and I'm happy to see you cover it in the Ivara video. Of course, it's more suited for a survival/solo type of playstyle, but it's really fun. I highly recommend anyone who likes Ivara to try it!
was least excited for ivara video but this grimoire thing is what i never knew ive always wanted, ill put it together
love how hes putting out consistent content!
I was like. This is anus. Then I saw you control the Orb from Grimoire. And that is fucking hilarious and I love it.
