Pfft, everyone knows jet fuel can't melt JFK.
Something that annoys me about the JFK assassination conspiracy is it paints JFK as an anti war crusader instead of a slightly less belligerent Cold Warrior than his peers. He still appoved the Bay of Pigs invasion, he supported CIA activities in Laos, he began the "special relationship" between Israel and the US.
The most shocking revelation of this video is Rebecca’s obsession with Kevin Costner
Being 10-13 years old during the gamergate era I kinda had a really wrong idea about you. I’ve been watching your content for the past year or so and it’s completely mind boggling how good and well researched it is. Keep it up maan
The fact The Critic doesn't get more praise is truly a Duketastrophe.
One thing that I always found hilarious is that the National Archives literally maintains quick access shelf space dedicated to the Kennedy assassination for anyone doing research.
I get thoroughly annoyed by the kind of "thinking" that gives us: possibility is plausibility, plausibility is probability, and probability is fact.
As told by the esteemed chronicle series "Red Dwarf". JFK's untimely demise was perpetrated by an alternate reality JFK from the grassy knoll in order to preserve his future legacy and not allow it to be mired in personal scandal.
The strategy I use to convince people Oswald did it alone is by pointing out that the majority of Americans believe he didn't. Once I establish that believing Oswald worked alone is the minority view, the natural contrarianism of your average conspiracy believer kicks in and they're more open to listening to me
The bullet was moved by magneto, of course
I love the King of the Hill episode where Dale has a mental breakdown after realizing the Warren Commission actually makes sense.
You can't hide the truth, we all know he held in a really big sneeze.
Perhaps my favorite thing about the JFK conspiracies is that the physicist who demonstrated (mathematically and with photographic evidence) that a ballistic impact can indeed recoil a target toward the shooter is also the physicist who discovered a layer of unusually high iridium all over the globe and hypothesized that a large asteroid catastrophically impacted the Earth and killed the dinosaurs, Luis Walter Alvarez.
My personal JFK theory is: Yes Oswald worked completely alone. However, every single government department had at least some reason to suspect that someone in that government department might maybe have done it. That is why every single government department went directly into cover-up mode, even if nobody had anything to do with it. And, all those departments suddenly going into cover-up mode just made all of them look all the more guilty to all of the conspiracy theorists. The fact that all those departments went into cover-up mode doesn't mean that they are guilty. But, it does give one pause to think that the heads of those departments weren't quite sure that no one in their department could possibly have done that. And that, that is a little bit scary.
My favourite "Who Killed JFK?" conspiracy theory is... One of JFK's secret service agents. The theory is when one of the guards heard the shots, he dropped to the ground and pulled out his gun and it accidentally discharged hitting JFK. The government covered-up this, because it made the government look bad. I don't believe this actually happened, but it is my favourite conspiracy theory.
Love the Contrapoints bit about JFK. People pay attention because he was hot and popular , he is America’s Wife in a flashback, America’s Dead Anime Mom.
Thanks for this one, Rebecca. It's probably not surprising that, as a U.S. historian, I'm troubled when most people believe obviously untrue things about the American past. And JFK assassination conspiracy theories are among the obviously false things that otherwise smart and progressive people are most likely to believe. Skepticism about what our government says and does is a great attitude to have, as long as it is accompanied by careful weighing of the evidence of what really happened. When skepticism about the government becomes a blank check to ignore such evidence and substitute empty flights of fancy, not only does it result in politics based on fantasy, it also sets citizens up to be relatively easy marks for reactionary fantasists of the sort now running our government.
The real conspiracy is Emma always gets interrupted when she tries to make a point.
3:58 "The Republicans have, unfortunately, sex" I agree Emma. That is unfortunate.
