Omg. The “did I just get into a wreck” sent me. 😂😂 I haven’t laughed that hard in awhile. Thanks Derrick. 😂
Saw Derek at the car show in Moncton New Brunswick, very friendly and down to earth guy. It was a pleasure to meet him. He asked what my favorite episode was, I told him the Lamborghini made of wood. Ah yes he says the lumberghini.
Any 55 yr old Buick that can come out of "storage", drive from New Brunswick Canada to TN, handle NYC traffic and not break down in NYC is a keeper in my book. This car is a driver that should be restored if not by you, someone who will do what ever it takes to make this a reliable driver for years to come. Thanks for visiting our area of the country both New England and Canada. Please come again and bring the family for relief from the heat of the TN summer and a history lesson for the boys.
Derek going shopping at Canadian tire just fills my heart with maple flavoured joy.
Old Buicks and Pontiacs are so underappreciated. Glad you picked this rig up!
Love how he thanks his fans for making everything possible, he’s a class act
Me thinks a guy should SAVE THIS CAR!!! Full restoration. This car is beautiful. Has great lines and personality.
I’m a car gal … how have I missed this channel ? I’m in love with that Buick !! And you’re just adorable … makes me proud to be a southern gal and a car gal!
As a Canadian guy, it warms my heart to no end to see you in Canada and in a 1970 Aqua Mist Buick Wildcat, no less. Saw the silhouette in the thumbnail immediately. A guy likes writing fiction to ease stress, so my main fictional characters have 1970 Buick Wildcats 1 in Regal Black and the other 2 in Fire Red (White top and interior).
My father bought a 70 wildcat when he was 17, over the years he started to restore it and never finished it. It sat for years before he gave it to me. I learned a ton and got her back on the road, 10 years strong and still a great sunday driver. Cool to see a video about it not many people know they exist
i appreciate you. My Dad and I don't see each other as much as I'd like, but you fill that void with your likeminded humour and interests. I often share your videos with him and he is becoming a fan. He loves the way you "Triage" the cars when you get them... Keep at it, Bud! Much love from Canada!
Loved the brake scene when he started driving, not often you see Derek break character... laughed my butt off!!
My dad worked for Buick his whole life in Flint mi. He just passed away before thanksgiving. Thanks Derek you rock man
Thanks!
People from all over the world watching your videos,a am from Serbia, leaving in Hamburg,Germany but still looking every video
Wildcat! I had a 1965 Wildcat coupe in college back in the 80's. Miss that big beast. Nothing better than all windows rolled down on a pillarless coupe with music playing on a summer night!
Not only is this guy a YouTube and car revival legend who I wanted to see last weekend at the Moncton car show, he is now attempting to drive this car from our home province to his home in Tennessee. I have to say Derek is a must watch because I've learned more than I ever thought I would have in any school
I remember seeing those type of cars as someone daily driver back in the 70's when I was a kid. It was a good time to be alive then, being around great cars that are classics now.
A Buick Wildcat. A relatively rare automobile. It's a car that doesn't normally come to mind when people talk about muscle cars. But it is. Nice find Derek.
