Schools reopen in J&K's Samba after tensions between India and Pakistan

276 7________

Schools in five border districts of the Jammu region reopened on Thursday after an eight-day closure prompted by heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. The reopening brought much-needed relief to students, teachers, and parents.

According to a senior education department official, schools in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch districts resumed operations following the restoration of normalcy. However, schools located near the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC) will stay closed as a safety measure. A total of 30 sensitive locations have been identified where schools will continue to remain shut.
