Making strides and lighting the way for acceptance and inclusion!
Last week, on Wednesday, April 30th, members of ASO and other area law enforcement and public service agencies came together as “Guardians of the Flame” to raise funds and support for Special Olympics Florida at the annual LETR Alachua County, Florida. Participants walked and ran alongside Special Olympics athletes as they made their way from Shop at Butler to Celebration Pointe, while carrying the “Flame of Hope,” a symbolic flame that is carried during the torch run, representing courage, unity, and celebration of diversity. When they crossed the finish line, Torch Run participants were greeted by a cheering crowd, and music and a dance party by Tu Fiesta Radio 95.7FM.
