A police officer came into contact with a female suspect who had an arrest warrant from Texas for theft.
While the police officer was dealing with the suspect's dog at her home, the suspect suddenly fired a gun, and the police officer returned fire.
The officer was seriously injured, required a tourniquet, and ultimately left his job as a police officer.
