Welcome back to Drive Electric where we're talking about the all new Ford F-150 lightning, specifically the platinum black edition! Starting with the pricing, this vehicle will start at $99,990. So what do you get for that $6,305 or more money? The first thing is you're going to get a limited production vehicle with only 2,000 units starting in the 2024 model year. This vehicle has a mixture of matte black accents, gloss black, agate black. The way that they're doing this is they're actually going with a matte black wrap from 3M products. With this you are also getting 22 inch black wheels and lugnuts, Ford Oval badging, and gloss black Power deployable steps. Other cool things you are going to see are reflective Lightning badge on the bedside, roof lightning graphics, aluminum front plate on frunk, and lux black nirvana leather.
Now onto the things that Ford has confirmed we are picking up for the 2024 model year for the Lightnings. One thing is automatic locking, so when you get out of the vehicle and walk away, it will lock. You will also get Blue cruise 1.2 version. The last thing is the pro power on board. They have made it now where you can use this feature when your car is unlocked, instead of the old version where it had to be turned on.
