The Sprinkler got unnecessarily nerfed in Splatoon 2. I don't understand the reasoning behind it.

Here you can see in Splatoon 1 it is so much better at popping the Rainmaker shield than it is in Splatoon 2. Even the first clip shows me with a bad placement of the Sprinkler and it still pops it almost same time as Splatoon 2 with good placement.
