Write a Word Expression as a Numerical Expression | 6.EE.A.1 | Grade 6 Math 💜💙
In this math video we will write a word expression as a numerical expression. We will be presented with the word expression "the quotient of four cubed and three to the fourth power". We will chunk each part of the phrase and write each part mathematically. We will understand that quotient is the solution to dividing two values. We will learn that cubed in math represents an exponent of 3. We will review that a power is a base and an exponent. We will eliminate answer choices and understand that dividing is not commutative to determine the correct solution. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
