The USAF plans to acquire 26 E-7A Wedgetails by 2032. In August 2024, the USAF finalized a $2.56 billion contract with Boeing for the rapid prototyping of two E-7A Wedgetails. The first two E-7s are expected to be delivered by 2028. However, the first E-7 is not expected to have the Air Force until 2027.
