How to Reset Firestick Remote & Fix Batteries Draining Issue (100% Working)
To reset your Firestick remote and address battery draining issues quickly using your phone (since you lost the old remote), follow these steps. Battery drain is often caused by software glitches, overuse of voice features, or hardware issues, and resetting can help.
Reset the Firestick Remote
Quick Reset:
Remove the batteries from the Firestick remote.
Press and hold the Home button for 10 seconds.
Insert fresh AAA batteries (ensure they’re high-quality, non-rechargeable, and correctly oriented).
Wait 30 seconds, then test the remote by pressing buttons.
Set Up Fire TV App:
Download the Amazon Fire TV app (iOS/Android) on your phone.
Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as your Firestick.
Open the app, select your Fire TV device, and enter the 4-digit code shown on your TV (if prompted).
Use the app’s virtual remote (swipe to navigate, tap to select).
Re-pair the Remote (if Needed):
If the remote doesn’t work post-reset, go to Settings, Controllers & Bluetooth Devices, Amazon Fire TV Remotes, Add New Remote in the app.
Press and hold the Home button on the remote for 10-20 seconds within 10 feet of the Firestick.
Look for an on-screen pairing confirmation.
