India has reiterated its position that Jammu and Kashmir would only discussed bilaterally with Pakistan.

In a press briefing on May 13, the MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal rebutted U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims of stopping trade with both India and Pakistan unless they agreed to end hostilities. He said that India has “conveyed” its position on President Trump’s statements on India-Pak ceasefire to U.S. authorities.

He also said that Pakistan asked for DGMO talks, proposed a ceasefire only because of the “effective attacks by the Indian air force on Pakistani bases.”

He noted that India’s attacks were all on conventional targets and said the country "doesn’t bow to nuclear blackmail.”
