Dual Crankshaft Offset V10 Hypercar - AngeTheGreat's Engine Simulator
Basically, its a burly 5.9 liter V10 engine, but its two banks of cylinders that one leans on the other and are offset in relation to the crankshaft by some amount that I eyeballed since I was more interested in something else to do with the engine, namely trying to make one crank spin one way and the other spin backwards at the same time, like if the two were joined by a pair of very beefy gears, that way I could make the cylinder banks upright and offset in opposite directions, theoretically nullifying the complex secondary and primary oscillations that plague such engines IRL. Unfortunately I can't make some kind of constraint between crankshafts, I trawled through all the many variables of every part, specifically the crankshaft, to find what I could do to it and that wasn't it. I also couldn't make a second engine wholesale in the same MR file since it only supports one for what I think are good reasons, so I gave up and made this. Its got over 1300 horsepower and is sat within a lightweight body that I imagine has fat beefy tyres and a good amount of downforce, though much of its drag ought to be from cooling this monster. It reaches nearly 270 MPH and by the top of the rev range over 9000 RPM the VTEC starts having problems keeping the cam profile in its power state, so it starts making that strange noise that plagued by Radial 12 engine that I had first made and uploaded. Its gnarly though, accelerates like a bat out of hell, faster than the Dodge Demon can since the game doesn't simulate grip for the wheels beyond assuming that they are on the perfect prep surface. Really, its kinda inspired by the Dodge Viper.
