
Jackson Township 3rd-grader brings gun to school, threatens officer and another student
Jackson Township police say all students and staff at Sauder Elementary School are safe after a third-grader was found with a loaded gun in his backpack on Friday afternoon.
According to the police department, officers were dispatched to the school on Mudbrook Street Northwest at around 12:30 p.m.
Police say based on information from another student, a school resource officer confronted the third-grader and confiscated the 45-caliber firearm, police said. The student had allegedly made threats against another student as well as the officer, police say.
