论文怎么写？欢迎来到Dr.Liu的5分钟系列讲座。今天我们来谈一谈如何写好论文的摘要。摘要有不同的类型，我们今天讨论的摘要是要和论文一起在学术刊物上发表的摘要。一般来说这种摘要是在论文全文完成之后写。这种摘要有两个基本功能：一是供选择。二是供索引。供选择是指供读者选择，我们用摘要吸引读者，供读者尽快了解论文的主要内容，以判断是否有兴趣来阅读论文本身，这可使读者节省大量时间。供索引是指摘要为二次文献的选录、汇编提供方便。这可使高质量的学术论文得以广为传播。
摘要一般是论文除标题以外给读者的第一印象。论文摘要的质量高低，直接影响着论文的被检索率，被阅读量和被引频次。基于摘要供选择和供索引这两个功能，写好论文摘要有两个要点：第一要准确地覆盖论文全貌，第二要突出论文的亮点。准确地覆盖论文的全貌是为了让读者能够根据摘要做出准确的判断是否应该读全文，突出论文的亮点是为了能吸引到更多的目标读者。
为了准确地覆盖论文全貌，摘要的写作一般要做到3个特性，包括4个要素。3个特性是指独立性，自明性，和与论文本身的一致性。独立性要求摘要本身是一篇结构完整的短文。有论点、有论据、有结论，合乎逻辑。摘要是论文的微缩版。读者不读论文全文、仅读摘要就应该能获得相对完整的信息。自明性要求摘要一般不要引文，除非该论文的主旨在于证实或否定他人已发表的论文。摘要中不要用不是公知公用的符号和术语，以及没有定义的缩写或略称。缩略语、略称、代号,除了相邻专业的读者也能清楚理解的以外,在首次出现时必须加以说明。一致性要求摘要的内容与论文的内容要一致，摘要中不应该包括论文中没有的信息，也不能丢失论文的关键信息，要保证摘要能够准确无误地传达论文的主旨。
这是摘要的应有的3个特性，而摘要的内容一般应包括4个要素，就是目标、方法、结果、结论。这是就一般情况而言。对于具体的某项研究，可能因为这项研究是众所周知的话题，学者普遍对这项研究的某些方面已经很熟悉，或者这项研究仅仅就某一方面发表结论性意见，在这些情况下，摘要也可以隐去4个要素中的某些要素，从而简化摘要的内容，节省字数，节省读者的阅读时间。因此摘要的写作是灵活的。最后，摘要要突出论文的亮点。摘要应该将论文中原创的、最具新意的部分凸现出来。所以，摘要中目标、方法、结果、结论这4个要素各自的份量可根据需要有所侧重。
下面来看例子，在这第一个例子中，目标、方法、结果、结论这4个要素的份量比较均衡，每个要素用2到3句话，这样整篇摘要总共用了大概10句话。一般每句话包含20到30个单词，这样整篇摘要就能满足一般刊物200到300个单词的篇幅要求。一般来说，目标、方法、结果这三个要素应该用一般过去时，因为研究已经完成，而结论中具有普遍意义的结论则可以用一般现在时。比如这个例子中的it is necessary 和are suggested 。另外可以看到，在缩略语GPA首次出现时，作者对它进行了定义。
再来看第二个例子中，在这个例子中，结果和结论都只用了一句话，这篇摘要想强调的亮点在于它的研究目标，因为这篇论文的意义主要在于它的研究目标的独创性。作者用了4句话提供背景知识来说明为什么他们要提出某项假说，并把验证这项假说作为研究目标。
在这第三个例子中，目标，结果和结论都很直观易懂，目标是确定两个变量之间的关系，结果就是给出这种关系是否有统计上的显著性，简单直接，不需要废话。作者主要想强调的亮点在于它的研究方法，用以提高研究结果的可信度，这里用了整整5句话。
在这第四个例子中，目标和结论也很直观易懂，目标是确定是否有效，结论是有效。作者用了较大篇幅介绍方法和结果，并包括了一些关键数据。这里要注意，在摘要中堆砌过多的数据是一个常见的误区，一般来说，如果只包括一些和结论直接相关的2到3个关键数据，往往能给读者留下更深刻更突出的印象。同样在这里，目标、方法、结果这三个要素用的是一般过去时，结论用的是一般现在时。从以上4个例子可以看出摘要的写作相当灵活，我们要根据论文本身的特点和刊物的要求，来决定我们在摘要中要突出4个要素中的哪几个要素。好，今天的实例讲解就到这里。欢迎大家提供更多的反馈意见。谢谢大家！
