WAMBAW CYCLE TRAIL Ride Report - North Short through South Full, 4-7-2021. Dry, sandy conditions after some mild grooming. Still lots of whoops. Managed burn in forest adds another dimension (visually interesting, and has a pleasant scent).

Wambaw Cycle Trail, Francis Marion National Forest. $5 a day (paid at the gate) or $50 a year (paid at the nearby ranger station) to ride. The $50 annual pass also allows you to ride three trails in the Sumter National Forest. This ride was on an epic day, with brown sugar-like sandy trails after a nice rain.

I record these videos to enable me to visualize the ride. Visualization is an excellent tool to train your body when you can't actually perform a physical event. Used as a training tool by Olympic and professional athletes for decades, watching an activity can be a tremendous enhancement to actual practice.
