I've recently outgrown the RAM in my Home Assistant Yellow smart home hub. I ordered a Raspberry Pi CM5 with 8GB RAM to replace the included CM4 with 2GB RAM. Only problem is i'm not a developer and i've never manually installed ANYTHING on a Raspberry Pi. So follow along with my journey upgrading my Home Assistant yellow, including all of the snags and trouble I ran into along the way. Hopefully this helps any other beginners looking to perform the same upgrade.
