~ So many blank pages... and vapors... vapors everywhere.......... it's snowing again ~

Last year I began reading a story called Background Pony on the recommendation of a youtube comment suggesting that Jastrian & I's song "Ghostie" had similar themes to the fanfic by SS&E. I'm not much of a fanfiction reader (I think I'd touched no more than 3 prior to hearing about this one) yet despite the astounding length of the story, I thought the concept sounded far too interesting to not give a chance. One year later and it has become my personal favorite work of literary fiction ever, fanfiction or not.

Around the same time L.M. and I began working on this song. I'd originally suggested we cover Porter & Madeon's "Shelter", but L.M. apparently had a better idea XP I started writing the lyrics more based on emotion than anything in particular. Confusion, loneliness, loss, the state of being directionless... But then I reached the end of Background Pony, and it all connected so cleanly to what I had already been writing down that I just had to connect the dots.

This then, is a song about Lyra Heartstrings' own internal conflicts as she ponders on the choice she must make in the final chapters of Background Pony. I don't wish to spoil the ending for you all, though I suppose this song does it's fare share of spoiling already if you listen too hard to it, so all I can do instead is recommend it~ SS&E, if you ever hear this song, I want to thank you for the hours of enjoyment your story gave. It made me cry, it made me smile, it made me think, it challenged me, and I feel like I am better for it.

This short song can hardly return the favor, but I hope you enjoy it regardless ^^ L.M. did such an astounding job on the instrumental, that fact cannot be understated, and Darkflame (the artist behind the famous "Fritzy Luna Icon" I have here on Youtube ;P) created the most perfectly genuine art to accompany it. And of course everyone's comment-section friend Makenshi can't be overlooked for the video effects and Cider Party post ^^

Thank you all so much for all your help and contributions, and to all of you who listen to this music. Even if the names and people may be forgotten as time goes forward, the impacts you've left on my life will remain. I hope more than anything to get to see you again beyond that.
