Jawaharlal Nehru University suspended, till further notice, its MoU with Inonu University in Turkiye citing national security considerations. This was after Turkiye showed its “support” for Pakistan after India carried out Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam in April.
Currently, JNU has MoUs with 78 universities across the world. The MoU was inked on February 3 for a period of three years. JNU Vice-Chancellor Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit said the institution stands by the nation in the time of crisis.
