The comically smiler was an entity who ended up in undertale by accident, hiding, reset after reset it grew jealousy over the monsters life certainly the one of sans, so after a new reset he killed sans and took his place, he tries to act like sans but will always have a creepy vibe to him, you'll encounter him the first time at the first sans stand in snowdin, he'll fight you there until papyrus comes and acts like nothing happened, in the judgement hall he tries to judge you but he'll always try to make you feel guilty of something, except in a true pacifist where he just can't. In a genocide he'll fight you in the judgement hall, the fight always end by you losing forcing you to reset.
