Bringing you 365 days of soil & soul awareness and hands-on education! Today to raise awareness of the save soil movement I discuss why we should not use synthetic chemicals in our gardens and what plants like dandelion and burdock do for our soil and our bodies.
On a soul level, both dandelion and burdock help us to root down deep for nourishment and the grounding and recharging energy of earth. They help us learn resistance and how to shine and be beneficial even when others’ may only see you as a ‘bad weed’.
Sauté dandelion greens in with your collards, spinach, kale or nettle. You can pickle them, too! The flowers make a vibrant dandelion wine or used for fritters. 🌼 Drizzle with hemp and/or garlic infused oil, if you fancy.💓
Both dandelion and burdock roots are also used in tincture, tea & bitters.
Gobo root (burdock) tastes wonderful with other root vegetables like potatoes, beets and carrots. Also, popular pickled and in stir fry. Good to know your wild edibles!
