A&R Consultant Bruce Ravid, who signed The Knack for Capitol Records in the late 1970s, gave his review of the 2019 SXSW Convention in Austin, Texas. In recent years the focus of the convention has branched out beyond music to include video, film and gaming. Ravid says he will consider returning to the event in 2020.
