After years of superheroes serving as mere extensions of government interests, soldiers endlessly avenging—fighting to enact revenge—in our post-9/11 cinematic landscape, Thunderbolts finally reminds us of what true heroism looks like. For the first time, Marvel's heroes aren't just punching, shooting, and fighting their way through problems—they're actually saving innocents, themselves, and each other. It's profoundly refreshing, cementing it as one of the MCU’s very best.

Jake Schreier delivers a Phase One-style character-driven masterpiece, a heartfelt exploration of fulfillment, facing our demons, and the powerful support system needed to keep us from spiraling into the void. Overflowing with genuine wit and maturity, this film feels like a spiritual sequel to James Gunn's Guardians trilogy, culminating in an electrifying, Inception-level climax that left me speechless.

I haven't walked out of an MCU movie feeling this giddy in YEARS! Thunderbolts isn't just good—it's top-shelf Marvel, signaling a bright future ahead for these complex, fascinating heroes. I'm absolutely floored by what Schreier & co. have accomplished here. Cape flicks genuinely don't get much better than this!
